Things I learned on Feedly

The entire idea of Feedly is very interesting, thought provoking and useful. However, at the same time it is a lot of work! Not only do you have to do the work to find the interesting and thought provoking bloggers and articles but now you also have to keep up with them all.

Oh my goodness I’m tired just thinking about it all!

But I must say when I gave it a chance I was pleasantly surprised! In order to stay on the free side of things I chose 3 categories that fit with my interests:

The Education category is self explanatory, but I wanted to have a powerlifting category on here because I am always looking for motivation, encouragement and ideas of how to make my practice better.

And I just love science! I may not always understand it all, but I find it all fascinating, especially anything to do with Space!

Which brings me to my first post, sometimes you need a reminder of how insignificant you and your problems are and how vast and amazing this universe is, I got that through a post by Space.com.

I think being educated about science and space is important, especially recent discoveries and developments. Although you might argue that you don’t really have to worry about space until the Grade 6 curriculum. But I respectfully disagree, you never know what kind of interests and knowledge your students are going to come to your class with, as well, NEVER underestimate a student’s ability. The chances of one of your students building or piloting the first manned ship to Mars are slim, but not impossible!

In my next Feedly post I’ll be share to share something from my other categories.
